NICK GAMER w/ KAYA MOODY & RICHARD GANS
9/19
$10 Adv. or $20 Door
Oregon’s Nick Gamer writes dark, cinematic Americana songs that sound equally at home in the western cosmos of Lucinda Williams and The Byrd’s Sweetheart of the Rodeo. A former guitarist for Japanese Breakfast and frontman of Le Rev, Gamer has traded indie pop hooks for the high lonesome wail of the pedal steel. His songs are a paean to the ashes of youth and the grim smile of moving on, conjuring the times
feelings of isolation and dark nostalgic yearning without ever addressing the headlines
directly. w/ KAYA MOODY & RICHARD GANS

GLITTERER w/ Toner & Draag
9/21
$18 Advance
Washington, D.C.,resident and northeastern Pennsylvania native Ned Russin co-fronted Title Fight for many years before the band suspended operations and Ned became Glitterer. Actually, he had always been Glitterer, just as Glitterer had always been him, but there were no Glitterer records until 2017, when the first of two self-released EPs appeared. Those were odd, charming, clever, eloquent, and highly proficient records, hand-made in the spartan bedroom-pop mode: some programmed drums and keyboards with an electric bass and a voice. The songs were about the trap of self-awareness and the impossible dream of self-negation; and despite their being, combined, all of about 18 minutes long, they left long-lasting impressions, stuck themselves in peoples’ heads and stayed put. They attracted a good amount of attention, too, because, yes, many music fans and “industry observers” knew who Ned was. But there was nevertheless a lower-stakes air around the project in those earlier days — something interesting and inchoate that Ned was fiddling with.

HEALING POTPOURRI “the sound of a bottle missing the trash can” https://healingpotpourri.bandcamp.com/album/blanket-of-calm
KOLUMBO: Since he was a landlocked Dallas, Texas kid, beach culture has held a tropical mystique for Kolumbo composer, arranger, keyboardist Frank LoCrasto. Family trips documented by camcorder videos, featuring slinky jazz-fusion soundtracks are etched in the Brooklyn-based artist’s memory. In his mind, there will always be a fantasyland replete with wicker furniture, pristine beaches, swaying palm trees, the smell of vanilla-scented suntan lotion, and breathtaking aqua water expanses.
These days, LoCrasto uses his imagination to create dreamy musical locales with the Brooklyn-based, Tropically-minded Kolumbo. The tiki-jazz torchbearers are releasing their debut full length, Gung-Ho, out June 29 2022, Calico Discos. The 8-song album conjures the lush sounds of symphonic 1950s and 1960s exotica, and jazz-pop orchestral albums recorded in Capitol Records’ famed studios. The album title speaks to the herculean task of producing an exotica album averaging 11 musicians per track during a pandemic.

ELLIOTT OK w/ STRANGE PILGRIM & JEFF MOLLER
9/14
$10
Elliott Ok is a songwriter/multi-instrumentalist who blends heartfelt lyricism with surreal musicality, spinning tales of technicolor trailer parks, Korean corner markets, eggplant farms, and the beautiful people who occupy them. After releasing his debut album “Eely” (a nickname amongst bandmates), Elliott moved from his hometown of Santa Cruz, CA, to Portland Oregon, where he and his band continue to write, record, and perform his imaginative songs. Due in October 2024, his second album, “Going Away Party”, celebrates the sorrow of leaving, the joy of arriving, and whatever happens in between. An ode to wanderlust for the homebody, and hibernation for the vagabond.
Drawing on themes of dislocation and dreamlike imagery, Strange Pilgrim is an exploration of living in an increasingly unfamiliar world. Much of their lyrical content focuses on the social and political uncertainty of these times, on connecting with nature, and on yearning for some form of freedom.
Building on his experience as a journeyman musician, Jeff Moller writes slacker anthems that sound like a fog-pop Tom Petty - full of his trademark sardonic humor, catchy melodic hooks, and colorful

Queentide is an alt-indie rock collaboration that walks the line of crunchy Americana with a raw, refreshing take on 90's post-punk. This 10-piece combo of veteran players have been filling dance floors globally since the mid-90s, electrifying audiences across the spectrum of skins, rudies, punks, mods, and rockers alike. No strangers to playing side-by-side with ska, punk, and Oi!
Fay Hallam is a hugely respected Hammond organist, singer and songwriter, with over 10 albums to her credit and a career already spanning over thirty years. She first came to prominence in Wolverhampton Mod-popsters, Makin' Time, in the early 1980's, along with a pre-Charlatans Martin Blunt. She and Martin, along with drummer John Brookes, then went on to form The Gift Horses, which were the embryonic beginnings of The Charlatans, which Martin and John then went on to form. Fay’s next project, was as the vocalist and organist in the now legendary, Prime Movers. This took on a rockier more progressive sound, including the 'Earth Church' LP, which was hailed by the now-defunct Sounds Music Weekly, as LP of the year. Since then, Fay has gone on to make over 10 albums, as Phaze, The Fay Hallam Trinity, and then as a solo artist, initially on the Blow Up label, with her 2015 album release, "Corona". Her second solo album release, "House Of Now" was released on Well Suspect Records in October 2016, received rave reviews, and gained airplay on BBC 6 Music and BBC London.
